Hi! My name is Cecilia, and I am an undergraduate at Hofstra University majoring in Writing Studies. This blog is an extension of my class work in studying the power of literary memoirs and nostalgia.
With an affinity for sweet team and all things Disney (see photo to the left), I enjoy exploring the intricacies and importance of recording and writing personal histories, and how these perspectives can be a source of good and evil. This semester in particular, I have turned my focus to how nostalgia has been commercialized by numerous corporations and the effects that media portrayal of nostalgia can affect society.
